Looking at obtaining your firearms license? Well, you’ve come to the right place!

In Queensland, it is a prerequisite to undertake and complete a Course in Firearm Safety (approved for firearms licensing in Queensland) (11029NAT) before you can apply for a firearms license. We understand that this process can seem harder than it actually is, which is why we run our safety course with clarity and conciseness in mind!

The Firearms Safety Course (11029NAT) is a state-wide recognized course that covers the very important aspects of firearms and their ownership, such as; Safe Usage, Buying / Selling, Transportation, Storage, and Relevant Legislation.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a statement of attainment which will enable you to apply for the firearms license categories that correspond to the units of competence undertaken on the firearms course (e.g. Categories A, B, C, D, H).

It is important to note that the certificates are only valid for 12 months so we do stress that one should proceed with the next steps of obtaining their license with some haste.

Our Firearms Safety Course (11029NAT) is held locally in our Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast classroom and is run by our industry professional instructors, who have multiple decades of experience in firearms training and usage!

What type of firearms can I get?

Generally speaking, a majority of people interested in firearms are so, for two main reasons, Recreational Hunting, and the Sports of Target Shooting. This will mean that they will be looking at firearms within the A, B, and H categories.

Most people will apply for the three categories which will come as two licences, a Firearms Licence which has the A, and B categories, and a Concealable licence, which is for category H firearms.
